WELCOME TO LINCOLN AMPHITHEATRE

LINCOLN premieres June 12, 2009

One life that forever changed the world.

Throughout 2009, the world will commemorate the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth. As part of this celebration, Indiana presents a new play at Lincoln Amphitheatre, a magnificent roofed venue nestled in the thick woods of Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home. Lincoln's remarkable character, forged on the Indiana frontier, is the heart of this brilliant new theatrical experience, premiering in June of 2009.

For you see, it was here he grew up.  From the time he was seven until he was 21, Abraham lived and learned in what is now Lincoln City, in Spencer County, Indiana.

Many already know the inspirational story of Abraham Lincoln leadership, strength and integrity. Join us during the premiere season of "Lincoln" and learn even more about the man many consider to be our greatest president and how his Indiana roots helped shape his remarkable character.

Abraham Lincoln, a great and good man.
